Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Fontis Innovation (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use StriveUp, including our website https://striveup.ai/ and our mobile application(s) (together, the “Services”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

If you have questions or want to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at hello@fontisinnovation.com.

1) Who we are

2) Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways: (1) information you provide, (2) information collected automatically, and (3) information from third parties if you choose to use them.

A. Information you provide

Depending on how you use the Services, you may provide:

  • Account information (if you create an account): name, email, password, profile details
  • Phone number: if you give it in our website questionnaire (optional, so we can contact you on WhatsApp) or at checkout when the plan asks for it (collected by Stripe). We use it to contact you about your plan and, only if you accepted advertising cookies, in hashed form for ad measurement (see Section 4E).
  • Content and inputs you submit: goals, workouts, progress logs, notes, messages, photos, or other content you upload
  • Support communications: information you send when you contact us (including attachments)
  • Health and fitness information: goals, activity, body measurements, injuries or limiting conditions, allergies, sleep, and pregnancy or postpartum information you provide. We use these inputs to provide features and personalize guidance.
  • Optional social profiles: Instagram or TikTok handles if you add them, used to link your social profiles.
  • Connected health services: if you choose to connect Apple Health (HealthKit) or Health Connect, we request permission to sync available data you authorize. Supported types can include steps, walking or running distance, workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), VO2 max, sleep, body mass, and active and basal energy. Synchronization can run in the background. You can manage permissions in your operating system settings and disconnect the service in the app.

B. Camera, photos, and microphone (app permissions)

  • If the StriveUp app requests camera access, it is used only to support features that need it (for example, taking a photo you choose to capture within the app).
  • We access the camera only when you choose to use a camera feature.
  • You can deny or revoke camera permission at any time in your device settings.
  • We do not access your camera in the background without your action.
  • If you choose to take or upload a photo, we may process and store that photo to provide the feature you requested.
  • If you use voice features (voice workout logging or live voice with the AI coach), the app asks for microphone access. We access the microphone only when you start a voice feature and only while you use it.
  • You can deny or revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings; voice features will not work without it.
  • How we process voice recordings and live audio is explained under “Artificial intelligence (AI) features” in Section 3.

C. Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone. This can include a device identifier, consent records with device and app details, and a push notification token used to deliver notifications.
  • Usage data: screens viewed, actions taken, feature usage, timestamps, session length
  • Log and diagnostic data: IP address, crash reports, error logs, performance data
  • Approximate location: may be inferred from your IP address (we do not collect precise GPS location unless a feature explicitly asks and you allow it)

D. Cookies and similar technologies (website)

We may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • keep the website working,
  • remember preferences, including your advertising choice,
  • measure traffic and performance,
  • help prevent fraud and abuse,
  • only if you accept, measure and improve our ads with Meta (see Section 4E).

Advertising cookies stay off until you accept them, and rejecting them is just as easy. We store your choice in a cookie on your device for about six months, after which we ask again. You can change it at any time in “Privacy preferences” at the bottom of our pages. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some website functionality.

E. Information from third parties (only if you choose)

If you connect StriveUp to third-party services (for example, sign-in providers or integrations), we may receive information from them as needed to provide that connection. What we receive depends on what you authorize with the third party.

3) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate the Services (create accounts, deliver features, store your content)
  • Personalize your experience (preferences, recommendations, improving usability)
  • Improve and maintain the Services (analytics, troubleshooting, testing, research)
  • Communicate with you (support, updates, security notices, service messages)
  • Protect the Services and users (security, fraud prevention, abuse detection)
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

Marketing messages: If we send promotional emails, you can opt out using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.

Artificial intelligence (AI) features

Some features of the Services are powered by artificial intelligence, including AI models operated by third-party providers. Currently, these providers are OpenAI and Anthropic. These features include meal-photo analysis, voice workout logging (transcription and interpretation), live voice assistance, the AI coach chat, and adaptive recommendations.

  • When you use an AI feature, the content you submit (for example, photos, voice recordings, or messages) and relevant account data (for example, goals and progress) are sent to AI providers to generate the response.
  • AI providers process this data on our behalf as service providers, not for advertising. Processing for security and abuse prevention may also apply under their data controls and our applicable agreements.
  • Voice processing: recorded clips are sent for transcription or interpretation; live voice streams audio for real-time assistance. For live sessions, we request that the provider not store a session recording. Possible retention for security and abuse prevention can still apply under provider data controls.
  • Saved text and account content: transcripts and resulting chat, workout, or meal records may be saved with your account to provide history and features. Provider retention depends on the service used and the applicable data controls.
  • AI outputs (such as calorie and macro estimates) are estimates and may be inaccurate. See our Terms & Conditions for more on how AI features work and their limitations.

Connected health data (limited use)

  • We use information from Apple Health (HealthKit) and Health Connect only to provide and improve the health and fitness features you use in StriveUp.
  • We do not use it for advertising or marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for data mining unrelated to those features. We never send it to Meta or other advertising platforms.
  • We do not store it in iCloud.
  • We share it only with the coach or gym linked to your account (see Section 4F) and with service providers that process it on our behalf to provide those features. For example, sleep and steps can be part of what the AI coach uses to answer you, processed by Anthropic.
  • Our use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4) How we share information

We do not share your information except as described below:

A. Service providers

We may share information with vendors that help us run the Services (for example: hosting, database storage, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, payment processing, and AI model providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) that power features like meal-photo analysis, voice logging, and the AI coach). They may only use your information to provide services to us.

B. Legal and safety

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request,
  • protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, Fontis Innovation, or the public,
  • prevent or investigate fraud or abuse,
  • enforce our agreements and policies.

C. Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

D. With your direction

We may share information when you ask us to or when you choose to use features that inherently share data (for example, sharing content with other users, or connecting third-party integrations you enable).

E. Advertising and ad measurement (Meta), only with your consent

On our website we use Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., only if you accept advertising cookies. If you have not chosen, or you reject them, the Pixel does not load and we do not send your information to Meta.

  • Purpose: to measure and optimize our ads, for example to learn whether an ad led to a visit, to viewing an offer, to starting checkout, to contacting us on WhatsApp, or to a trial or purchase, and to show our ads to people more likely to be interested.
  • Data: Meta cookies and identifiers (such as _fbp and _fbc, and the click identifier in links from Meta ads), the pages of our website you visit and the events above, your IP address and browser user agent, and the plan price or purchase value and currency. With these events we also send your email address, phone number, first and last name, and a customer reference, hashed (SHA-256) before they are sent to Meta.
  • Legal basis: your consent. We record your choice when you start checkout, and we only send a trial or purchase to Meta if you had accepted by then. If a free trial started that way becomes a paid subscription, we also report that first payment.
  • Never on health questionnaire pages: Meta Pixel does not load, and we send nothing to Meta, on the pages of our questionnaire and the analysis of your answers, even if you accepted. We do not send your answers or other health information to Meta.
  • How to withdraw: use “Privacy preferences” at the bottom of our pages or the button below. From then on, the Pixel stops sending events, we delete the Meta cookies we can access on your device, and checkouts you start afterwards are not reported to Meta. Withdrawing does not affect what was sent before, or the first payment of a trial you started while you had accepted.
  • Meta's processing: Meta processes this information under its own terms and privacy policy and can use it to provide its advertising services. Retention: according to the provider's policy.

F. Your coach or gym

Your account is linked to a coach or gym: the coach who invited you (invitation code), the partner gym that referred you, or, if you join directly, a StriveUp team account. That coach or gym can see the information needed to guide you, including:

  • your profile and goals, and the health and fitness information you provide (such as injuries or limiting conditions, allergies, and pregnancy or postpartum information),
  • your body measurements, weight, and photos you add in the app,
  • the workouts and meals you log in the app,
  • data synced from Apple Health (HealthKit) or Health Connect, if you connect them (for example, steps, sleep, and heart rate).

Being linked to a coach or gym does not by itself include a human coaching service. If you have questions about who can see your information, contact us at hello@fontisinnovation.com.

5) Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed to:

  • provide the Services,
  • meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements,
  • resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we must keep certain information for legal or security reasons.

6) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7) Your choices and rights

You can:

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • access your personal information,
  • correct inaccurate information,
  • delete your personal information,
  • receive a portable copy of your information,
  • object to or restrict certain processing.

We may ask you to verify your identity before responding.

8) International data transfers

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

9) Children's privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at hello@fontisinnovation.com.

10) Third-party links

The Services may include links to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are significant, we may provide additional notice within the app or by email.
